Norwood Energy was founded by Grant Norwood in 2016 for the purpose of consolidating family assets and providing a variety of Oil & Gas related services. This quickly scaled from buying minerals in-house to expanding our mineral portfolio as well as uncovering prospects and drilling operations in several states.

Norwood Energy establishes projects on a path for growth, creating attractive investment opportunities for partners in a variety of Oil & Gas related services including Oil & Gas Exploration, Land & Title, Due Diligence, Consulting, Raising Capital, and Investing in Oil & Gas.

Grant handles daily operations, and evaluations of Oil & Gas prospects/minerals. He has an extensive back ground in the Oklahoma SCOOP and STACK resource plays. As well as the Louisiana Gulf Coast and all productive areas around the state of Texas.

Karel supports our investor relations department and is engaged in identifying potential acquisitions and due diligence. He also stays actively involved in supervising our drilling and field maintenance endeavors. He is a recent graduate from Texas Tech University and a Pi Kappa Alpha member, he is now eager to add value and gain hands on experience with the company.

With over 47 years of field operational experience in the oil and gas industry, Lumpkins has worked on more than 1,100 oil and gas wells. He spent 31 of those years with Samson Resources, a company purchased for $7.2 billion by KKR. This being the largest private equity transaction of 2011. His primary objective with Samson, was the management of over 600 wells and 45 employees, across three states. His experience ranges from maintenance and roustabout management, to designing and constructing major gathering systems for gas and saltwater disposal systems. Along with this range of experience, some of his expertise include but are not limited to, directional and horizontal wells, logging and perforating and rod dumping evaluation and design at depths of up to 11,500 feet.

Matt Myers is a petroleum geologist with over 30 years of experience in exploration and development of conventional and unconventional resources. He has worked for Marathon Oil Company and EOG Resources, and has recently formed Ark-Tex Consulting in 2022. Throughout his experience in the industry he has developed expertise in basin evaluation, prospect generation, petrophysics, and geochemical analysis. Matt has also worked on many of the offshore basins in the United States, as well as in Canada, Africa, and Argentina. During this time he gained experience mapping basins in U.S. onshore and internationally, focusing on shale pays and conventional plays.

Kyle Hanna graduated from Texas A&M University with a degree in Petroleum Engineering. He graduated with the Harold Vance Award from the Petroleum Engineering Department and has since cultivated a well rounded experience in the oil and gas industry. Since graduation Kyle has worked as a Floorhand on a drilling rig, gaining hands on experience performing pump operations and repairs, drilling fluid maintenance and tripping/drilling operations. In addition to this hands on experience, he has also worked as a Reservoir Engineering Specialist where he preformed valuations of client assets for acquisitions as well as development planning and scheduling for infill well drilling.

Lumpkins hails from Kansas and has much of his experience in this state, along with Oklahoma, Louisiana and Texas, which is the state he now calls home.
